"The difference between the almost-right word and the right word is the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning."
I love finding those words and putting them in the right order, whether I'm writing about housing, finances, long-term care or the journey of aging itself.
I write for newspapers, magazines, trade publications and websites with the focus on telling a story specifically targeted for your readers and audience.
I'm extremely easy to work with and I've never missed a deadline. I can create my own topics or write on yours, and include interviews and research.
I don't require any hand-holding but always appreciate an editor's comments as they can make for a better article.
I've been published in
- Huffington Post
- PBS' Next Avenue
- Professional Builder
- The Denver Post
Everyone has a story…
and here’s mine
As one of almost 77 million baby boomers (and not to mention the only girl in a family with six brothers) I’ve always had to carve out my own niche. Growing up in a house that our writer-at-heart dad built, I haven’t strayed far.
I have a degree in journalism, as well as an MBA and a Master’s degree in urban planning.
I've been writing for more than 10 years and if you'd like to see samples of my writing, please click on this Portfolio link or on the tab at the upper left top of this page.
Please Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or (303) 917-2122 if you have any questions or would like to talk about a project or assignment.
I work hard to meet your and your readers' expectations.
